Well, I've been meaning to do this for awhile! Thought I'd better get a blog before my new 2011 cat calendar is printed so that people can see what I am doing with their donations!
Please bear with me as I'm new to blogging and may take awhile to get everything the way I would like....
What I plan to do is to keep an open record of all donations to my animal rescue/spay and neuter project...small as it may be...and write and post pictures related to any rescues I am involved with.
I will write more about my history later, but for now I will say that what motivated me to start my own project was the fact that whenever I found an abandoned dog or a mom cat and kittens needing to be adopted no animal welfare group or agency was able to help me. I donated money and time to various causes, but they always said "sorry we're overwhelmed, we can't help at this time." So....I decided to do what I could do myself and use the money previously donated to other agencies to do my own good deeds. It's very gratifying, even if it is just a drop in the bucket!
